Southern Yellow Pine
SYP is a species of wood grown primarily in southeastern United States. It's superior
strength makes it the primary species of lumber used in engineered trusses, and its
unique fibers make it ideal for treating with preservatives.

NAFP carries SYP in all grades, widths and lengths.

Banak
Banak is typically pinkish golden brown or deep reddish brown and comes from a tree that
may reach a height of 140 ft with trunk diameters of 5 ft. Two thirds of the tree is clear of
branches, resulting in few knots.

NAPF carries Banak in random lengths and widths with thicknesses of 3/4" and 1".

Oriented Strand Board
OSB is a structurally engineered wood panel made of heat-cured adhesives and
rectangularly shaped wood strands that are arranged in cross-oriented layers.
Produced in large, continuous mats, OSB is a solid panel product of consistent quality.

NAFP carries several thicknesses of OSB in varying widths and lengths.

Plywood
Manufactured from thin sheets of cross-laminated veneer and bonded under heat and
pressure with strong adhesives, plywood has been one of the most ubiquitous
building products for decades.

NAFP carries several thicknesses of Plywood in varying grades.

Spruce, Pine, Fir
SPF is the name given to a combination of spruces, pines and firs that share similar
characteristics and are found throughout Canada. SPF’s high fiber strength, light
weight and easy workability make it excellent for framing and trusses.  

NAFP carries SPF in all grades, widths and lengths.

Laminated Veneer Lumber
LVL is an engineered wood product created by layering kiln dried wood veneers with
waterproof adhesive into blocks of material known as billets. Cured in a heated press, LVL
is available in various thicknesses and widths and is used in slide out openings, garage
door headers, and window headers.
NAFP carries a full line of LVL in all thicknesses and lengths, with a 2.0 MOE.

Finger-Jointed Lumber
Finger-jointed studs provide significant benefits to the builder and building owner.
Finger-jointed studs are straight and dimensionally stable. They are manufactured from
short pieces of kiln-dried lumber. Walls built with finger-jointed studs are straighter,
even when subjected to heat or humidity.

NAFP carries FJ lumber in numerous widths and lengths.

Treated Lumber and Panels
Treated lumber is ACQ (alkaline copper quaternary) treated and is kiln dried to ensure a
long lasting, protected product. Treated lumber withstands harsh outdoor elements,
including weather, insects, and rodents, nearly five times longer than untreated lumber.
