specified depth and width
allowing room for an insert to
be placed in the opening.
P.E.T. is a value added
process that cuts material to a
specified length.
A piece of wood is cut
lengthwise to be "ripped" into a
new form or size.

An angle cut is made when a
precise degree is cut.
Example: 45 degree angle.
Re-sawing is cutting a sawn
plank into thinner planks. The cut
runs through the plank's width.
